Hotjar's integration with Zapier enables you to send Hotjar Survey responses to Asana for creating tasks, subtasks, or stories. This article steps through setting this workflow up in Zapier, specifically for creating a new task in Asana from a Hotjar Survey response. The same workflow detailed below would apply for performing other Asana events triggered from Hotjar Survey responses.
You'll need an existing Zapier account and an Asana account to follow along with these steps
The steps below guide you through connecting Hotjar to Asana using Zapier. You'll need a Zapier account and an existing Asana account to follow along.
Visit your My Zaps page in Zapier.
Click the Create Zap button.
For the Trigger, select Hotjar.
Select New Survey Response as the Event.
Choose which Hotjar account you'd like to use in this Zap and the Survey.
You may need to connect a new account to Zapier. For help with this, see Zapier's documentation on Connect your app accounts to Zapier.
Click the + button, adding Asana as the next Action.
Select Create Task in the Event dropdown and click Continue.
Select your Asana account and the target Workspace and Project where Survey responses will be sent.
Complete the remaining Asana fields to be used for every Asana Task that will be created from a Survey response.
Test the action and click Publish to activate the Zap.
With the Zap activated, Hotjar Survey responses will create a new Asana Task based on the Asana field values you've provided in the Zap. For further help using Zapier and setting up Zaps, you can also visit the Zapier Help Center.
