Go to Hotjar.com to copy the Tracking Code from the Hotjar admin
Paste the Tracking Code into the <head> section of your website.
Hotjar works most accurately if the Hotjar Tracking Code is in the Head tag (<head>) of every page you want to track on your site. This ensures that Hotjar will start tracking visitors as soon as possible.
Add the Tracking Code to your website template
We recommend adding it to your website template so that it automatically goes into each page of your site.

Check to see if your Hotjar Tracking Code has installed.
You will need to wait a few minutes for Hotjar to check if it is installed correctly. This usually happens the moment your site is loaded with the Tracking Code on it.
Once Hotjar has detected the Tracking Code on your site, the Site Dashboard will show a notice like the one below:
Keep Tracking Code in mind when making design changes
If after you install the Tracking Code, your website undergoes a major design change check to ensure your Tracking Code is still installed.
