Hotjar plans for European customers will be billed in Euros. Customers outside of this region will be billed in U.S. dollars.

Updates to our billing system mean that changing to yearly billing may not yet be available in-app
In February and March 2023, our team is updating our internal billing system. As a result, it may not be possible for you to change from a monthly to a yearly billing cycle in-app. Yearly payments may also need to be made by bank transfer instead of credit card or PayPal. When the billing system update is complete, we'll change this article. In the meantime, contact Support if you'd like to change to a yearly billing cycle.

Paying with your PayPal Balance
If you'd like to pay with your PayPal Balance, you also need to choose another payment method (card or bank account) as a backup. PayPal will check if you have funds in your balance and will only bill the backup payment method if there isn't enough to cover your subscription amount.
