How long does the process take?
Our team screens all applicants within two weeks. You will get a response even if you were not accepted into the program.
What documentation should I send with my application?
You can send in the certificate attesting that your organization is a valid nonprofit. This varies from country to country but is generally issued by a governmental organization. You can also send a screenshot of your country's online public register.

Do I need a Hotjar account to apply?
It's preferable that you register with us before you apply to ensure a quicker response time.
You can create your free Hotjar account here, and then submit your application via the Hotjar Nonprofit page.
What if my organization has specific legal and security requirements?
Hotjar was created with privacy by design. We've made a self-service page where you can find the bulk of our privacy, security, and data safety documents.
We recommend that you review these requirements before applying to our program.
How does the discount for higher plans work?
If you want to track more than 500 sessions per day or need more than 500 responses per month, you can request a discount for one of our higher session or responses plans.
We offer a 50% lifetime discount for approved nonprofits that subscribe to a higher tier plan(s).
I want to track multiple sites, what do I do?
If your nonprofit has multiple URLs, you can include these URLs on the same application or let us know at the time of applying that you have additional sites on your account that you'd like to be reviewed.
If the multiple URLs are subdomains, only send in one application for all subdomains you intend to track. In most cases, it's best to use the same tracking code on all your subdomains.
There are some situations in which a subdomain may serve a specific purpose (such as an ongoing program or a charity store), so you may wish to track the data separately from the rest of your domain. For this, you can add the subdomain on your application for us to review.
Example
If you want to track hotjar.com and all the pages it contains, you should send an application mentioning just the one domain hotjar.com.
If you want to track hotjar.com and then focus on your documentation center (help.hotjar.com), you should list both hotjar.com and help.hotjar.com in your application.
