Our Omniconvert integration supports Hotjar Recordings and Heatmaps. The integration allows you to connect your Omniconvert A/B test experiments to your Hotjar account.
In order to use this integration, you'll need an active Hotjar and Omniconvert account.

Enabling the Omniconvert integration
Open your Omniconvert website menu and click Integrations.
Turn on the integration with Hotjar and click Save.
This will activate the integration between Omniconvert and Hotjar.
Viewing your Recordings in Hotjar
After enabling the integration and allowing time for sessions to be captured, sessions will start to be available that are tagged with an Omnivconvert event.
Visit your Hotjar Recordings dashboard.
Click Add filter and select Event.
Enter your Omniconvert tag in the Event name field and click Apply.
Omniconvert allows you to filter by experiment id, experiment name, variation id, or variation name.
Once the event is selected, your Omnnicovert recordings will show within your Recordings playback list.
Viewing your Heatmaps in Hotjar
After enabling the integration and allowing time for sessions to be captured, sessions will start to be available that are tagged with an Omnivconvert event.
Visit your Hotjar Heatmaps dashboard.
Enter the relevant URL and click View heatmap to generate a heatmap.

Click Add filter and select Event.
Enter your Omniconvert Experiment ID and click Apply.
Once the event is selected, your Omnnicovert sessions will show within your selected Heatmap.
Creating Funnels in Hotjar
After enabling the integration and allowing time for sessions to be captured, sessions will start to be available that are tagged with an Omnivconvert event.
Visit your Hotjar Funnels dashboard.
In section "1", click Add step and select Event.
Enter your Omniconvert Experiment ID and click Apply.
Repeat for any additional sections, adding steps and selecting the Path or Behaviors you want to add to your funnel.
Viewing your Trends in Hotjar
After enabling the integration and allowing time for sessions to be captured, sessions will start to be available that are tagged with an Omnivconvert event.
Visit your Hotjar Trends dashboard.
Click Add filter and select Event.
Enter your Omniconvert Experiment ID and click Apply to view the trend over time.
