Deleting data is permanent
As soon as the Delete button is clicked, an automated process is initiated that immediately makes your Hotjar data unavailable to the team members that were associated with the account.

Deleting a site
You are not an Admin. Only Admin will be able to follow the steps below. Find out who your current Admins are and request them to make these changes.
To delete a Site, you must be an Admin
No other team members will have permission to delete Sites.
Go to your Sites page.
Select the trash can icon next to the Site you wish to delete.
Confirm the deletion by selecting Yes, Delete.
Deleting an organization
You are not the Account Owner. Only the Account Owner will be able to follow the steps below. Find out who your current Account Owner is and request them to make these changes.
It's not possible to delete an Organization when it is the only one left in your account
All accounts need at least one Organization to keep the account in existence. This means it's not possible to delete the last remaining Organization in your account. You can rename an Organization by following our How to Change Your Organization Name article. To delete your entire Hotjar account, which includes all Sites, Site data, and Organizations, see our Delete Your Hotjar Account guide for help with this.
Go to your Sites page.
To delete an Organization, you must be the Account Owner
No other team members will have permission to delete Organizations.
On the right-hand side of the Organization's name, click the drop-down arrow.
Click on Delete Organization.
Confirm the deletion by selecting Yes, Delete.
