When managing your client's Sites from inside your agency's Account, you may be eligible for a 10% discount on your entire bill.
- How do I receive the agency discount?
- How should I structure my agency's Account for managing different clients?
- How does billing work when all my client's Sites are inside my agency's Account?
Our plans and prices apply on a per-Site basis and billing for all Sites occurs at an Account-level. For eligible agency Accounts that have the discount option set up, a 10% discount is automatically applied to each bill when your Account contains at least two Sites subscribed to a Business plan.
To set your Account up for the discount, you'll first need to create a Hotjar Account for your agency using an email address that has the same email domain as your agency's website. After creating your agency's Account, reach out to our Support team for further instructions on activating the discount option for your Account.
The discount only applies to client Sites inside one agency Account
If you set up your clients so they each have their own Hotjar Account, they cannot benefit from any discounts agencies might receive. The discount for agencies only applies when your client's Sites are contained inside a single Account managed by your agency.
In the below example, a 10% discount applies because the Account has at least two Sites on a Business plan (Site A and Site C). The total price would be the cost of 2 Business plans and the cost of 2 Plus plans, minus a 10% discount on the total bill. Check out our prices to determine the total that would apply to your situation.
Older Accounts on Billing Version 1 receive a different discount
If your Account is one of our longer-standing ones on Billing Version 1, then the oldest Plus plan that is added is $29 per month and any subsequent Plus plans are $9 per month. The oldest Business plan is $89 per month and any subsequent Business plans are $59 per month.
You can add Organizations for each of your different clients and include their specific Sites inside their Organization. You can also give your clients access by adding them to the Organization that contains their site and applying different Team Member permissions within this Organization.
Clients that are added as Team Members to only their Organization won't be able to access other Organizations inside your Account.
Billing occurs at an Account-level, so setting up your client’s Sites inside your agency's Account means that the agency will manage payment for the Account and any downgrades/upgrades made to Site plans. As you're billed for your entire Account, this means it's not possible to set up different payment details for different clients inside your agency Account.
An invoice is generated with each payment and contains a listing of Sites in your Account that are subscribed to a paid plan.
