The agency discount is for agencies managing external client websites
The discount is not available for a company Account with multiple sites or subdomains that have a connection with the same company.
If you're an agency using Hotjar, you can add your client's Sites to one Hotjar Account that is owned and managed by your agency. You may also be eligible for a 10% discount on your total bill when setting up your Account in this way.

How do I receive the agency discount?
Our subscriptions apply on a per-Site basis, with payment happening at the Account-level using one payment method. To be eligible for the discount, Accounts must first have the agency discount option set up on their account. A 10% discount will then automatically be applied to the total of each bill when your Account contains at least two Sites subscribed to a Business plan.
Setting up your Account
The agency discount billing option has no additional cost.
To set your Account up for the discount, you'll first need to create a Hotjar Account for your agency using an email address that has the same email domain as your agency's website. After creating your agency's Account, reach out to our Support team for further instructions on activating the discount option on your Account.
What the discount looks like
In the below example, there are two Sites on a Business 500/day session plan and one on a Plus plan.
- Without an agency discount, the monthly total would normally be:
- 2 x $99 (two Business plans) + 1 x $39 (one Plus plan) = $237 per month.
- With the agency discount set up and having at least two Sites on a Business plan, the 10% discount applies. This brings the monthly total down:
- $237 − $23.70 (the 10% discount ) = $213.30 per month.
Check out our prices to determine the total that would apply to your situation.
How should I structure my agency's Account for managing different clients?
You can add Organizations for each of your different clients and include their specific Sites inside their Organization. You can also give your clients access by adding them to the Organization that contains their site and applying different Team Member permissions within this Organization.
Clients that are added as Team Members to only their Organization won't be able to access other Organizations inside your Account.
The discount only applies to client Sites inside one agency Account
If you set up your clients so they each have their own Hotjar Account, they cannot benefit from any discounts agencies might receive. The discount for agencies only applies when your client's Sites are contained inside a single Account managed by your agency.
How does billing work when all my client's Sites are inside my agency's Account?
Billing occurs at an Account-level, so setting up your client’s Sites inside your agency's Account means that the agency will manage payment for the Account and any downgrades/upgrades made to Site plans. As you're billed for your entire Account, this means it's not possible to set up different payment details for different clients inside one agency Account.
An invoice is generated with each payment and contains a listing of Sites in your Account that are subscribed to a paid plan.
