The Filters feature is useful for sorting through large amounts of Visitor Recordings. This allows you to find the precise Recordings you’re interested in viewing without manually searching through a large list of Recordings.
Filter options can be found on the right side of the Recordings page.
Available Filter Options
Filters can be set by selecting Recording attributes such as:
|Filter Type||Use When:|
Watch Recordings made on a specific date or between two dates.
Examples: you want to review something that happened on a particular day (when you launch something new, publish a new article/feature) or during a specific week/month (for example: the week leading up to Black Friday, the month after you deploy a redesign).
See Recordings that include a specific page.
Examples: you have identified an issue with a specific page and you want to focus your attention on it; you want to watch how users get to and navigate away from the page during a larger journey.
|Landing and Exit Page||
Recordings where the visitor entered the site or left the site on a specific page.
Examples: you use ads to direct traffic to a page and you want to see where people go after it; you have a valuable page and want to understand if and why people leave the site from it.
|Device, Operating System and Browser||
Review Recordings where visitors use a specific device, operating system, and/or browser.
Examples: you want to spot issues that affect mobile users only; you want to compare performance on Chrome and Safari; you want to detect differences between Windows and Mac.
|Number of Pages||
Review Recordings where visitors accessed a set number of pages.
Examples: you want to compare the journeys of visitors who only see 1-2 pages vs. those who navigate to more than 5 and see what makes the former leave and the latter stay.
Review Recordings where visitors spent a specific amount of time on your website/app.
Examples: you want to compare the journeys of visitors who leave after 30 seconds vs. those who spend more than 3 minutes and investigate what makes the former leave and the latter stay.
|User ID||Follow a specific user’s journey through your site if they have visited multiple times.|
Review Recordings that originate in a specific country.
Examples: you want to see if visitors from a specific country have difficulties understanding your website; you have identified one particular country as under- or over-performing and you want to understand why.
|Tags and Starred||Show Recordings with tags or stars that have been previously created for sorting videos.|
Filter options you create will remain set until you change them again. When you're done filtering your Recordings, click Reset at the top of the filters sidebar to clear them.
Filter Example 1
If you wish to view Recordings of visitors from the United Kingdom, select United Kingdom from the Country drop-down menu under Visitor attributes. The Recordings list will now only be populated with Recordings of site visitors accessing your website from the United Kingdom.

Filter Example 2
In addition to the country filter, you can also filter by specific date, a visited page or even Recording duration. The filter options are demonstrated below:
This filter will only show a list of visit Recordings between June 18, 2015 and July 3, 2015 where the visited page URL contains the characters contact and visited your site between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. Recordings that do not meet this criterion will be hidden from the list.
