If a user on your site doesn't use a browser supported by Hotjar, we will still collect data from that user, however, we will not be able to show the data with some Hotjar features (i.e. filters). For more details, see our article on Does Hotjar Track All Your Users?

Does Hotjar track users who use Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection enabled?
Hotjar practices Privacy by design. A key principle of this is that Hotjar respects your right to privacy at all times. As such, Hotjar will not track anyone who utilizes the "Strict" Enhanced Tracking Protection setting in Firefox. Users with "Standard" Enhanced Tracking Protection (default setting) will be tracked by Hotjar.
Does Hotjar track users who have privacy-enhancing extensions installed?
Many ad-block and privacy-enhancing extensions block Hotjar by default or can be configured to do so. Many of these users are expressing their right to privacy, and as such, Hotjar accepts this as part of our commitment to Privacy by design.
