Does Hotjar track users who have opted for Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection?
Hotjar practices Privacy by Design. A key principle of this is that Hotjar respects your right to privacy at all times. As such, Hotjar will not track anyone who has enabled the "Strict" Enhanced Tracking Protection setting in Firefox. Users with "Standard" Enhanced Tracking Protection will be tracked by Hotjar.
Does Hotjar track users who have privacy-enhancing extensions installed?
Many ad-block and privacy-enhancing extensions block Hotjar by default or can be configured to do so. Many of these users are expressing their right to privacy, and as such, Hotjar accepts this as part of our commitment to Privacy by Design.
