In this guide, we'll show you how to share your mobile phone screen during an Engage interview.
You will need:
-
A Mac (MacBook Air/Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro)
-
An iPhone
-
A USB cable to connect your iPhone to your Mac
If you're not using an iPhone or a Mac, see our guide on How To Share Your Phone Screen With Zoom (iOS and Android).
Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a USB cable.
You may be asked whether you trust this computer. Select 'Trust'.
Start a QuickTime recording.
On your Mac, open QuickTime Player, then go to File > New Movie Recording.
Choose your iPhone as the camera.
Your phone's screen should now be accessible in QuickTime.
In the movie recording dialogue box, click the small down arrow next to the recording button and choose Camera > iPhone (this should show the name of your iPhone).
Share your screen in Engage.
On the Engage website where the video is running, click the button to share your screen, so the researcher can also see your iPhone screen.
