When will I get paid?
Compensation payments usually get processed within 3-5 working days, after the successful completion and review of a Session. If you haven’t been paid 5 working days after completing your session, please contact support.
How will I be paid?
You can choose to be paid via PayPal or Wise. To set how you'll receive payment:
- Log into Engage.
- Click your profile icon in the top-right and select Edit profile.
- To be paid via PayPal, go to the Payment Details section and enter your PayPal email address into the PayPal email field.
- To be paid via Wise, type the word Wise into the PayPal email field instead of providing your PayPal email.
We'll then send compensation to your email with Wise. Follow the instructions from Wise to transfer the payment to your bank account.
How much will I get paid?
You will earn a minimum of €15 per interview, this is the base rate for interviews. Depending on the length of the interview and the expertise needed, researchers may pay more to find the right participants. The compensation will always be included in the project description when you get invited to apply for a project.
Can I get paid via Wise instead of PayPal?
Yes, we can send your compensation through Wise if you have no access to a PayPal account.
To do this, write Wise into the PayPal email field in your profile, instead of providing your PayPal email address. We'll then send the compensation to your email with Wise. Follow the instructions from Wise to transfer the payment to your bank account.
What currencies do you pay in?
Researchers can choose to offer compensation in either Euros (€) or US Dollars ($) for their project. The platform you use to receive compensation, either Wise or PayPal, can convert this to another currency. Be sure to check the fees charged by these platforms for exchanging currency.
Can I check/update my PayPal email address?
You can view and edit your PayPal email address with these steps:
- Log into Engage.
- Click your profile icon in the top-right and select Edit profile.
- In the Payment Details section, you'll see your PayPal email address in the PayPal email field.
- You can make any changes and then click Save to confirm the update.
My payment was sent to the wrong PayPal email address.
Before participating in an interview, ensure your PayPal email address is correct. If you realize the email address wasn't correct after we've already sent your compensation, contact Support.
In cases of an incorrect email address, if the compensation hasn't been claimed and we’re able to retrieve it, we'll send it to your updated PayPal address. It can take up to 30 days for an unclaimed payment to be reversed by PayPal or Wise before we can then attempt a resend. If the payment has already been claimed and we can't retrieve it, unfortunately we won't be able to send it to a new email address.
