When will I get paid?
Compensation payments usually get processed within 3-5 working days, after the successful completion and review of a Session. If you haven’t been paid 5 working days after completing your session, please contact support.
How will I be paid?
You can choose to be paid via PayPal or Wise. Log into Engage, click the profile icon in the top-right and click Edit profile.
- To be paid via PayPal, go to the Payment Details section and enter your PayPal email address into the PayPal email field.
- To be paid via Wise, type the word ‘Wise’ into this box instead of your PayPal email.
Once you do this, we'll send the compensation to your email directly with Wise, then you'll need to follow their instructions to claim the payment to your bank account.
How much will I get paid?
You will earn a minimum of €15 per interview, this is the base rate for a 30-minute interview. Depending on the expertise needed, researchers may pay more to find the right participants. The compensation will always be included in the project description when you get invited to apply for a project.
Can I get paid via Wise instead of PayPal?
Yes, we can send your compensation via Wise if you have no access to a PayPal account.
To do this, write 'Wise' into the PayPal email field in your profile. After this, we'll send the compensation to your email directly with Wise, then you'll need to follow their instructions to claim the payment to your bank account.
What currencies do you pay in?
Researchers can choose to offer compensation in either Euros or US Dollars for their project. This can then be converted using the payment platform you use to receive the compensation, like PayPal for example.
Can I check/update my PayPal email address?
Yes. To see and edit the PayPal email address that we have on file for you, log into Engage and click the profile icon in the top-right and click Edit profile.
In the Payment Details section, you will see your PayPal email address in the PayPal email field. You can change this and then click Save.
My payment was sent to the wrong PayPal email address.
Before you participate in an interview, make sure that your PayPal email address is up-to-date.
If we send your compensation payment and you then realize that this is an inactive/old/incorrect address, don't hesitate to contact Support.
If the payment hasn't been claimed and we’re able to retrieve it, we'll send it to your updated PayPal address.
If the payment has been claimed and we cannot retrieve it, we won't be able to send it to a new address.
We have to wait for the unclaimed payment to be reversed by PayPal (or Wise) before we can attempt a resend. This can take up to 30 days.
