Google Chrome is the only supported browser for Engage interviews
Make sure you're using the Google Chrome web browser on a laptop or desktop computer. Other browsers, and mobile devices, are currently not supported.
Why isn't my microphone/camera working?
Below are some common areas to check if your microphone or camera isn't working:
Are you browser settings blocking Engage from accessing your camera or microphone devices?
- To check the settings, click the lock icon on the left side of the address bar (Omnibox).
- Select “Allow” for both the camera and the microphone, and then close the popup to save your changes.
- Reload the page for the changes to take effect.
Are any other browser tabs or applications using your camera or microphone?
Close any other applications or browser windows that are using your camera or microphone.
Do you have the right devices selected in the Engage video and audio settings?
Click on Settings to open the panel to adjust which devices are being used for your microphone and camera.
On Windows, is your browser blocked from accessing your camera or microphone?
- On your Windows PC, navigate to the Privacy settings (Settings > Privacy) on the Camera page.
- Scroll down to the Allow desktop apps to access your camera settings and make sure it's turned on.
- Repeat the steps for the microphone settings located below the Camera tab, and then restart your browser.
How do I share my screen on a call?
When you click the Share button during a call, you'll see a pop-up window. Select the screen or window you want to share by clicking on it.
While sharing your screen, make sure you don't have sensitive information visible to others.
Why does nothing happen when I click the share screen button (Mac)?
You will need permission to share your screen if this is the first time you are sharing your screen on a Mac. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Sharing.
It's not possible to have both Screen Sharing and Remote Management on at the same time. If Remote Management is selected, you will have to deselect it first.
