Feedback and Surveys have joined forces for a better experience. On September 17, 2024, the Feedback tool was migrated into Surveys.
This change allows you to access AI-powered analytics features, additional filters and survey performance statistics, survey logic, multiple survey display types (Bubble, Popover, etc.), behavior setting options, additional question types, appearance customization options, and accessible color combinations for your feedback widgets.
Your existing widgets and responses were migrated automatically. You'll be able to access your feedback widgets and the existing responses in the Surveys tab.
In this article, you can learn more about:
Overview of the changes
- UI changes
Your feedback widgets have been updated to become Button surveys. These surveys look and act almost in the same way as the current feedback widgets, with only minor UI changes visible to respondents.
- In-app navigation
All your existing feedback widgets have been moved to the Surveys tab. Any previously saved or forwarded links (via email, Slack, etc.) will continue to work, redirecting you to the new Surveys view which offers more advanced analysis and configuration options.
-
Dashboard updates
The existing Feedback dashboard widgets have been removed. You'll be able to add new survey-related widgets to your dashboards for improved insights.
- Feedback filter in Recordings, Heatmaps, and Trends
The Feedback filter has been replaced with a Reaction filter.
- Email notifications
Your email notification setup has been migrated to Surveys. However, Surveys have a daily email limit, varying from 24 to 50 emails per day, depending on your plan.
- Zapier and webhooks
With the completed migration, existing Zapier and webhooks setups will no longer continue to work. If you're using Zapier or webhooks, you will need to recreate these integrations after September 17.
- AI-powered analytics features
With feedback widgets having been migrated to the Surveys tab, you'll get access to the AI-powered analytics features (sentiment analysis, automated tagging, AI summary) that weren't available for feedback widgets.
- Customization options
The migration has also unlocked new customization options for your feedback widgets. You'll be able to choose from multiple survey display types (Bubble, Popover, etc.) and additional question types, add behavior setting options and survey logic as well as customize the widget's appearance or use accessible color combinations. Additional response filters and survey performance statistics are also available for your feedback widgets.
Will my existing Feedback data be lost?
Most of your existing feedback data has been migrated to the new survey format.
You will still have access to all your historical data with the exception of any internal comments Team Members have left on a feedback response, as this isn't a feature within the Survey tool:
Do I need to update my feedback widgets?
No, the migration was automatic.
How do the new button surveys differ from the old feedback widgets?
The new button surveys offer a similar respondent experience with minor UI changes. You have access to more advanced customization options and better analysis tools compared to the old feedback widgets.
I can't find a specific feedback widget. Was it deleted?
All feedback widgets were migrated to the Surveys tab. If you can't find a specific widget in the general Surveys view, check the Inactive tab in Surveys. This is where you'll find all your unpublished widgets.
