On 27th July 2018 at 11:00 CEST / 05:00 EST, our engineers identified an issue which was causing problems logging into the Hotjar mobile app.
Why did this issue occur?
We have made changes to Hotjar logins to improve security. Some of these changes were not compatible with our currently released mobile app. Users who logged out were no longer able to log back in.
What effect did this issue have on my site?
This had no effect on user sites.

This did not affect Hotjar data collection, or any reports relating to your site.
What are we doing to ensure it doesn’t happen again?
We will be reviewing the incident and adapt our processes as appropriate.
