On 2019-04-04 at 13:05 CEST / 07:05 EST, our engineers identified an issue with some funnels not being updated. Funnels began to be updated again as normal from 2019-04-04 at 17:30.
Why did this issue occur?
One of our servers became misconfigured after an automatic restart. This incorrect configuration affected our funnels feature.

What effect did this issue have on my data?
Funnel data for the 2nd of April 2019 to the 4th of April 2019 is inaccurate. You might find that on these days your funnel reports appear to lack data. This issue only affects approximately 20% of sites but we are unable to determine precisely which sites.
We are making a change to the Hotjar application to let you know when viewing funnel reports if you are affected by this issue.

What will we do to prevent this from happening in the future?
- We have made changes to our monitoring systems to better alert us to configuration problems and problems with our Funnels feature.
- We will make changes to our servers to reduce the likelihood of this scenario happening again.
