You can manually uninstall your Hotjar Tracking Code from your site by following these steps.
If you used one of our platform guides during installation...
If you installed the Tracking Code through one of the Platform Specific Guides, follow the steps again to find the Tracking Code. You can then either delete the code or disable the installation depending on the set up.
Take note of the Tracking Code from your Site overview.
This is the code you'll be looking for when removing the Tracking Code from your site. We suggest keeping this window open for reference during the uninstall process.
Find the Tracking Code in the header section of your website and erase it.
Highlighting the Tracking Code text and deleting it will remove Hotjar from your site.
Save your changes.
It is important to save changes made to your website so the Tracking Code is fully removed.
What if I didn't add the Tracking Code to my website template?
During installation, we recommend adding the Tracking Code to your website template so that it automatically goes into each page of your site. If you decided to only track certain pages or didn't use a template, you'll have to find the Tracking Code in the section of all of your pages and remove it from each.
Test that the Tracking Code is no longer on your site.
To make sure Hotjar is no longer present on your site:

Wait ten minutes after removal. After ten minutes, check to see if Hotjar is showing a Tracking Code error:
If the error is there, the Tracking Code has been removed.

Wait ten minutes after removal. After ten minutes, visit your website with the "Network" tab open. To open the "Network" tab, follow this guide from HappyFox based on your browser.
In the filter bar of your Network tab, search "Hotjar" and refresh the page.
If there are no results, the Tracking Code has been removed from your site.
