From Friday July 1, 2022 we're moving accounts that were created before April 20, 2022 to our updated pricing model.
Under the updated pricing model, we've grouped Surveys and Feedback into a separate product called Ask that’s priced based on the number of responses you want to collect across Surveys and Feedback. Heatmaps and Recordings will be grouped into a separate product called Observe and will still be priced based on the number of daily sessions.
Both products, Observe and Ask, will have the Basic (free), Plus, Business, and Scale plans available, and the selected plan can be different for each product.

Use Heatmaps and Recordings to visualize form pages
Heatmaps targeting the page that contains the form you want to track will allow you to see where your users are interacting with your form. When that initial data comes in, here’s what you’ll be looking at:
- Clicks: Overall clicks will show you which fields get the most interaction. You can tell when some fields are not getting much attention and make changes to the form if necessary.
- Mouse Movements: These are a great way to tell when your users spend a lot of time looking at a specific area of your form. A lot of mouse movements are a good indicator that it’s taking them longer to complete some form fields.
- Scroll Depth: The Scroll Depth shows where users are dropping off on the form the most. If a lot of users didn’t scroll down to the submit button, it’s a sign something might be putting them off filling your entire form.
Recordings can reinforce these findings and help you understand how the user is really interacting with your form.
Are they filling specific fields more than once? Do they get frustrated when they’re unable to figure out what they should be doing?

Set up custom events to track interaction with form fields/steps
It is also possible to set up custom events to track interactions with your form fields. For example, if you want to know how many users reached a certain field or step on your form, use automatic Recording Events to identify when this happens in Recordings.

When you implement events, you’ll likely find a few sets of filter/event combinations that you’ll want to revisit. Segments will put them a click away by saving them to a quick access panel.
