You can only unsubscribe from Marketing emails.
Only marketing emails will contain the link to unsubscribe. Transactional emails, such as plan upgrades or changes, are considered necessary and cannot be unsubscribed from.
To stop receiving marketing emails from Hotjar, you can click on the "unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of the email.
You can unsubscribe from a particular type of message, such as Production's Product Updates, or unsubscribe from all marketing messages using the second link.
